Why did he love her?
I can only imagine what it's like trying to love me. Hard! My little cousin keeps hugging me and it's strange to me. Even though I'm healed its strange to have someone come up to you and just not want to let go. Even though it's something people should do to me i wonder why is this little boy hugging me. It's not like its once a day but just to come in my room and hug me and leave. Only to come back and hug me and leave. Yet it's what people do to show affection. Which means tender attachment! Leaves me wonder why anyone would really grow an attachment to me especially a tender one. What does he see that I don't see in myself. That he loves me! Yet why does he love me or even have this attachment to me?
Why Did He Buy Her Back?
Hosea 3:2
Why Did He Want Her to Stay?

Hosea 3:1
Then said the Lord unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the Lord toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.
I can only imagine Hosea as he went to go buy back (Redeem) his wife from the life of prostitution! He could have said no! I know inside of him his heart must have been filled with heart ache but his heart was not hard towards her at all. There was something in him that longed inside of him to just be with only her. Like my little cousin he just goes out of his way just to come hug me. Hosea could have married any other woman in the land. Yet his heart yearned for his wife he had an attachment to her and no matter what she did when God said go love again he went and loved again. Why? It's like asking why did Ruth cleave on to Naomi and she was so bitter. There had to be sometype of attachment there that just wasn't found In anyone one else. Ruth could have turned back and went home but Naomi wasn't there, what she had grown fond of to love over the years would be gone and she refused to lose that bond! Why did Ruth love Naomi like she did ? Why did Hosea love his prostitute wife like he did?
Look at Christ why does he love us? We are all sinners but he loves us!
Why Did He Buy Her Back?
Hosea 3:2

2 So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:
Really why did he redeemer her? She had been with all those men! I know the feeling I feel unworthy yet I think about Christ as he payed the price for me on the cross why did he die for someone like me? The one who use to play the harlot! Yet he still payed the price for me because he thought I was worth it! Gomer didn't deserve to be bought back. Just like no one deserves Gods perfect love! No one like's damaged and broken things. I bought a movie the other day and it didn't play. So I wrote the company saying Im not paying for something that doesnt work properly. Yet I never got my money back and I don't care because there are days I don't work properly but Christ still payed the price for me! The movie was worth the price it had Christian values in it and went to a good cause. Yet Gomer was a harlot and broken the video was just broken! Yet he didn't care Hosea was going to redeem his wife! Look at Boaz when he redeemed Ruth why she was a stranger no one saw her worth but he knew she was a virtuous woman! More than Rubies! He saw what the whole world didn't see something valuable and worth paying the price for!
Christ payed the price on the cross for sinner's because he saw something Valuable in us!

3 And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee.
He didn't just buy her back and want her to leave but he wanted her to stay! To remain with him! To be close to him! She didn't know how to love like he loved but he was going to love her. Just like God love's us he wants us to stay to remain with him many days not just on Sundays but everyday. The answer for this is pretty much clear why he wanted her to stay he didn't want her to play the harlot anymore he wanted to give her what other's never offered her real love. Not just a quick transaction under the covers but love. Love that you wake up to each morning, love that you share little jokes with, love that you just want to pull close to you. Show that tender affection to! He didn't want to share her with anyone else she had been shared enough but he wanted her to just be for him. So that he could love her. So that he could give her what she had been looking for. You are for me!
Christ Died for us so that oneday we can Abide with him in heaven for Eternity
Thou Shalt Not Play The Harlot
In the bible in John 8 a woman caught in the act of Adultery was brought to Jesus. They asked Jesus what should be done to her. Hands full of stones ready to send her to her grave awaiting Jesus answer. All Jesus said was " He who is without sin cast the first stone" ( John 8:7) Everyone had to drop their stones and walk away because everyone was guilty just as guilty as her! Yet that day he let her know that she was forgiven that she didn't have to sin no more or be in that place she was anymore! Thou shalt not play the Harlot. She was loved! She didn't have to lay on her back to receive that love, but Christ was given her a pardon of her sins! She was forgiven! The only one who can accuse you or condemn you is Christ but he's not he chooses to forgive you! Just like Hosea everyone could have talked bad about Gomer" forreal yo your going to take her back after all she did?" Yet it wasn't their choice it was Hosea's and he choose to love Gomer his wife who played harlot. He choose to tell her to no play the harlot anymore because he was going to love her.
Just like Christ choose to die on the cross for our sins despite our Choices but he loves us! So that we don't have to play the Harlot!
